A handful of jewelry is usually tested, weighed, and paid inside twenty minutes with no appointment. Bring photo ID, because state law requires us to record it on every purchase. A large collection takes longer to sort properly, and we would rather take the hour than guess at it.

We buy a variety of gold and silver items, including jewelry, coins, bullion, and other precious metal pieces. Each item is evaluated based on its metal content, purity, weight, and current market value.

Usually because one of them sorted it and the other did not. A bag weighed as a single lump gets priced at its lowest karat, and anything in it worth more than its metal — a collectible coin, a signed piece, a stone — is paid for as scrap. Sorting is most of what the difference is.

If it is bullion or plain scrap, the number is the number and it is your call. If it is a collectible coin, a signed piece, or something with a stone, keeping it may be worth more than the metal — and we will tell you that before you decide, because we would rather lose the sale than buy something under what it is.
